Bjørn Sparrman

Bjørn Sparrman (b. 1989) lives and works in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his BFA from Calvin College in 2012 and his Master of Science in Art, Culture and Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Sparrman previously served as Project Lead at the MIT Self-Assembly Lab and is co-founder of RLP, a 3D printing and manufacturing company based in Boston. Working across sculpture, design, and advanced fabrication, he collaborates with industrial partners including Google, Steelcase, and BMW. His work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, New York; OōEli Art Park, Hangzhou; and the Venice Biennale.
